This Congress of Active Mobility is one of the biggest knowledge exchange events around non-mortised mobility in this part of Europe. Urban-planning workshops, social campaigns, sociological aspects of mobility and walking and cycling promotion are just some of the interesting areas to be covered. A Danish architect and urban planner, Mikael Colville-Andersen, the key-note speaker, will share his knowledge on designing cycling-friendly cities and effective promotion of the bicycle. A notable Polish sociologist Tomasz Szlendak will help us understand the psychological aspects of private motoring that drive transport habits of many. There will be other equally interesting presentations, debates, workshops and a bicycle study tour of Gdansk.
The Congress is addressed to local government officials, companies, schools, NGOs and other public and private bodies working towards sustainable mobility, transport or people-friendly cities.
